About
I'm Abbey O'Brien. I work in market intelligence at Ulteig, a Midwest-based energy and infrastructure design engineering firm, where I write a weekly newsletter on the U.S. data center buildout and lead coverage of AI, data centers, advanced transmission technologies, nuclear, and other market trends.
After earning my degree in business and information technology at Georgia Tech, I began my career at NBCUniversal, working behind the scenes in operations and technology to help film and television reach national audiences. I'm now a master's candidate in journalism at NYU, graduating in May 2027.
Originally from Atlanta and now based in Jersey City, I write about where energy, technology, and infrastructure meet.
